Materials
Fabrics and colors rotate based on availability and customer needs. My goal is to work with you to create the gear you want. If a material isn’t in stock, I’ll do my best to get it. Feel free to reach out anytime to check on availability.
For example, for frame bags, I typically use Ecopak EPX200 fabrics for the main panels. I also offer X-Pac VX21 fabrics—both made in the USA. These materials are waterproof-rated to 200 PSI or more. For high-abrasion areas around the bag’s perimeter, I use 1000 Denier Cordura nylon laminate with a backing of EPX200 for waterproofness. It's a recipe for durability, function, and, due to EPX200's use of recycled materials, sustainability.
Challenge UHMWPE Ultra 200 and 400 fabrics are available for an additional cost. (They’re exceptional and worth it!) I’m always testing new fabrics to improve my bags.
If you’re curious about materials or have suggestions, let’s nerd out!
I also love working with upcycled materials. These are some of my favorite projects. If you have a specific material in mind, let me know—we’ll make it happen.
